Sainte Mère Eglise on the eve of D-Day

Tomorrow, on the 5th June, there will be a display of military vehicles taking place at Sainte Mère Eglise. The event has been organised by MVCG Bretagne and will be followed at 3pm by a memorial service in honour of the 82nd and 101st airborne divisions. An hour later there will be an official ceremony in front of the church featuring the “Sonoran Desert Chorale” from Arizona.

Veterans, military and civilian groups will be present with 200 American, 50 German and 30 Dutch soldiers will be in attendance.

At 5pm there will also be an inauguration of the extension of the Airborne Museum.
